As the title implies how do u work bluetooth. All i can understand so far is that its something to send someone free when in range, questions:

1. Do both people need bluetooth for it to work?
2. Is there any setup needed for it too work?
3. Is it free?
4. So u just turn it on and u can trade any type of media?

thanx

Can you use the search? And yes, both people need to have it to work. What are you thinking? This message was posted from a T616

Bluetooth basically is a method of transfer of data . Both people need to have bluetooth devices and in range to transfer data . They are limited only by the devices what they use as to what type of data they can transmit. For example you cant tramped a .txt file from a computer to a t610 . You can turn the bluetooth feature off on your device.

BT is a technology to connect two devices wirelessly like infrared but with more range (about 15 meters) and the two devices need not be alligned for it to work.

1: Yes both devices need to be bluetooth enabled
2: Yes to transfer files and music and videos both devices need to be paired, for this you need a password for SE phones usually it is 0000. You can send contacts from your address book with out pairing
3: Yes its free
4: Yes after pairing both devices you can transfer pretty much any type of media

If you want to have some fun using bluetooth search this forum for the word bluejacking
hope this helps

It always makes me laugh when people ask if Bluetooth is free to use.

Its like asking ' do i get charged money everytime i use the remote to change tv channel ? '
