The phones interface is in english, just the text input is chinese (even for t9). Im having to use the virtual keyboard which is extremely impractical..

cheers greeny but i already do what it says in that thread but i feel the hand recognition isnt quite as good as it was in my p800. and i feel this is maybe down to the chinese stuff in my phone. unless can someone who has owned both p800 and p900 tell me if there is differences in the hand writing recognition on the uk models?

@Trinity16,
i am not sure if this is the answer you are looking for. my P900 comes with both english and chinese text input mode and i switch from one to the other in the text input screen by dragging the stylus from the bottom of screen to top. when you are in chinese input mode, the solid black triangle on the right is about 1/3 from the top whereas it sits half way from the top when in english mode.
like i said, i can switch between them. are you not able to do this at all? i got the phone in Hong Kong and i thought even in the asia market, it comes with both chinese and english.

yeah mate i am able to do that but i feel the english hand writing recognition isnt as accurate as it was on my uk english p800 and i feel this down to the chinese in my phone.
Thats why im wondering if theres a uk english language pack that can be installed?

@jamzi,
hmm...interesting. so you are implying the english recognition on your P900 is not as good as your P800 because your P900 has both english and chinese.
i can't imagine why it would. can anyone else verify this since i do not own a P800.
