Hiya folks..

Well i took the plunge a week ago and finally upgraded my phone... I got it home, got it charging and began to browse for interesting stuff for it... quite quickly i found this place and a few others and annoyingly it looked like i'd be done over by the impending launch of the 910 which sounds stupidly more powerful than the p900... Ohh well you live and learn.. it was an impulse purchase and to be honest it was ok... I got a rebate as i'd not upgraded in so long (from the venerable nokia 3210) and so it only cost me £200...

Anyways just thought i'd say hi.. I'll post some actual questions in individual threads..

Cheers

Jim

Thanks.... hmm you dont see the postings history as you are doing a reply... that'll make it a bit difficult..

I agree the 910 keyboard looks pretty useless.. although it may offer some more control options for games with the flip open..

I am struggling to get used to the keys on the p900 i feel they aren't very ergonomic as its hard to feel them and hence to blind text with it..

I can't find it now but i thought i heard that the 910 had an 800mhz processor in it!?? this would be a huge leap..

Can't do anything about it though.. my costs have shot up with it as i took insurance and am trying a GPRS bandwidth package.. I just got a laptop as well that i'm paying for cover on... I ain't going to be upgrading anytime soon... something like the p900 is definately the way forward.. I look forward to higher quality video and pictures, a bit more control for games (though its clearly not its target market)

Great... I must of been misreading model numbers or something late at night... if its not that much of an improvement then that'll make me less concerned at buying the 900... I guys you can imagine my dismay if it was 800mhz compared to the p900's ~150mhz

at the end of the day its a bloody phone! your just lucky it comes with all the bonuses se put on there!!!
you buy a nokia or a samsung or a cheap motorolla and so on and the novelty wears off in weeks!
with the p900 ive been playing bloody solitaire for more time than ive held any other phone for without it becoming boring!
i've got all the apps i need on my phone over 45 all in all and it does what i need it 2!
i think you should look at getting a dog or something to keep you occupied!

A dog would be nice... but they're not exactly happy when you're out all day at work..

To be honest, hearing that the p910 isn't the leap i thought it was makes my p900 ownership not feel bad at all.. and before it was only slightly bad, i couldn't do anythiing about it so it wasn't worth worrying about...

Agreed its great.. I wonder whether cats are an option

Don't get overworked on processor speed, it's a non-issue. This is just a phone, after all!

The only thing I personaly see realy improved on the P910 is the increased availabe RAM. Opera tends to quit when I need to view a few pix or clips, always annoying.
