When I recieve an MMS it does not show the sender number or name.. it always shows an "unknown sender".. other users of the same network also experince this problem with the K700.. This was not the case with T68i, T610, T630, P800 and P900..
The same settings were used for all phones, only the K700 has this problem.. I've has this problem on three different firmware versions.. R2A, R2E and now R2L001
is anyone experincing the same problem?

Is it only when you receive mms that you can't see the senders name? Can you see the number while receiving calls?

this is the case with MMS only..
SMS and calls are fine.. The caller number or name (if in phonebook) are displayed..

Mine just works both for the SMS and MMS features . . . Luckily to say here, I haven't upgraded my firmware yet, still the stock R2A . . . one! When I auction my fones in one of the tabloids here (Buy & Sell), I receive the 'sender unknown' message/note from potential buyers sending me an SMS and not MMS, and I guess the sender activates their fone's - 'Hide Number' feature, to retain their anonymity I guess? Could this just be possible with that of your dilemmas here folks, they just activated their settings - 'Hide Number' when they are sending you some MMS message? Just a wild guess here mates . . .

@JN
There is no hide number setting on the network I use.. It is disabled by the operater.. I've sent myself an MMS from my k700i and it also appears as an unknown sender.. I didn't care much about this problem but it is starting to be quite annoying lately..

Maybe you could ask all your friends to attach their names with all their correspondences
