It looks like all my hopes have been dashed!
I got onto the phone at Sony Ericsson this morning an was told there wasnt a service centre within a 50 mile radius of Manchester and I'd have to send my phone off for a firmware upgrade
After hearing on here that carphone warehouse do firmware updates I rang them and was told the firmware update isnt available at the moment and they dont do firmware updates in store, again Id have to send my phone away
Have all my hopes been dashed or have I been misinformed? I thought you guys might be able to help!

Turns out its all lies anyway! Bolton retail park, manc market st and oldham retail park all do firmware updates!
