> Delay on answer phone

Apparently, if you enter the following sequence, u can change the time your phone will ring for b4 Vmail kicks in
d**61*07973100123*11*30# the last two digits between the * and the # symbol can be altered from 5 seconds upto 30 seconds only, the above example is set for the maxium delay of 30 seconds
Only thing is, how do u get the 'd' up?

And for which network does this apply?
I think the delay is network dependent and the network decides when to cut off an unanswered call and redirect it to voicemail

The 'd' is not meant to be there... The rest of the command structure is in the GSM spec, therefore all networks *should* support it. The given example shows the number for the Orange voice mailbox system. Having never used TMobile I can't say for certain if they support it, but O2, Orange and Voda in the UK all do.
Be sure that you get your answerphone number correct! Do a *#61# beforehand to see where your divert currently goes to.

Cheers...
Tried it and it works ok....Except, it seems like it has changed my divert setup....After it timeouts, it goes to a dead tone sound instead of my Vmail.
Cant for the life of me remember how to access divert properties in the p900
Any1 care to remind me

Where did you set the divert to go to? Did you send it 0973100123? If so - you're trying to route to Orange's answerphone - that may or may not be appropriate for you.
You can find out the number your divert is set to by entering *#61#
What network are you on?

I dont bother with voicemail, if u cant get hold of someone, sms them. Then u can be sure of getting hold of them, voicemails have a habit of being a bit wonky in my experience.

@meths
But what about people getting hold of you? What about people calling from a landline? What about when you're office line's diverted to your mobile?
Which network are you with - as I've never had any major problems with voicemail in 10 years+ on Voda ETACS, Orange, Voda GSM, and O2...
