I have a problem transfering large video files to Memory stick, small files up to around 12 MB seem ok but larger files around 30 MB keep failing half way through transfer.. error unable to tranfere file or error occured..files are are smart movie avi files..

Any one know what the problem is.. or any other way of getting the files on the phone without using email..?

How are you trying at the moment, by e-mail?!!
Have you tried using the Sync Station?

By far the easiest way would be to get a MS reader for the PC. I'm lucky to have one built into my VAIO & I have transferred files over 72MB with no problem. Not to mention the fact that it's much faster than the Sync Station

As I said I use the MemoryStick reader that is built into my Sony VAIO but you can buy readers that attach to a USB port or some that replace a floppy drive. This is your best bet, have a look on the web and you should find plenty of them.

Try using a MS reader.
If that doesnt help, most probably a part of your duo is gone bad
Or does this happen with multiple Duos ???

Thanks for your help..

Will try MS reader but not sure which one..? prices vary from £7.00 up to £30-40.. assume for better transfer rate speed looking at this Sony product

http://www.clickonit.com/prod[....]roduct=151567&c_f=pricegrabber

Seems ok and ok for 1 GB MS duo.. any comments..

Anyone will work flawlessly, its not a rocket science technology.... Just make sure what you want to read is supported.
I got one off ebay for £8... a 6-in-1 Dazzle
There is another thread in this forum where someone asked which one... and most people said... anyone will do which supports your card format
Enjoy

BTW... a quote from Sony site:
its transfer speed can be as high as 480Mbps

Does MS support full USB2 read/write speeds?

That's what he was using!
But a MS Reader would be much faster.

Read the damn thread!

I only didn't suggest BT this time as he wants to send files of large size i.e. much bigger than the phones internal memory & I don't know if it's possible to send direct to the Duo through BT
