ok i admit, i aint done a very extensive search on the forums for this....i'm guilty, sorry guys....but i've searched our friend google and anyway was wondering....

does anyone know how to go about writing and editing SE firmware, i mean there must be someway of decompiling it into the assembly instruction set of the SE processor and altering it cos i'm quite good at assembly programming hehe

also what software is there to get SE firmware off a phone using a datacable cos the downloads i find are for DIV USB n are .sbm files converted from original .bin files from mobiles

anyway....any information related vaguely to this topic would be nice......i just wanna do some programming for my phone and i'm CRAP at OOP...i can hardly make anything decent with J2ME lol......i'll just wait til i learn java at uni

thanks guys

ooooh also....... is it possible to make SE games using C++ cos i can do that lol...i think Mophun is C but k700 is useless for that hehe

if you want to play around with modifying files such as firmware you will need some sort of hex editor. this is a complicated tool, i still struggle with some of the features and have been using it on a very part time basis for about 3 years.

you can get a basic hex editor from www.download.com.

good luck, ur gonna need it.

Hi,

If anyone is good at editing firmware could they please help me with something?
Not sure if it's possible but I have a IP Webcam which allows people to view images with my PC turned off.
Only thing is users have to enter a password and I'd really like anyone to be able to view.
So would a firmware edit allow anyone to view the image without using a password?

If you want any more details then ask

Thanks!
