Having installed the latest version of Opera I'm finding it sometimes is not loading a page. It starts and the stops after a few Kb of data. You can get it to work by refreshing sometimes or others by going back a page and then clicking on the link again. is this a problem with the browser? Should I go back to an older version?

Its a network service provider related problem. Check your internet settings in the control panel connections or go to your network service provider and have them configure your P900 internet settings. Opera works great on my P800 then and on my P900 now. Enjoy its a great browser
