> Vodafone is loosing subscribers

Vodafone Japan announced last Friday a fall in the number of
subscribers in her network for the first time from the beginning of her
operation, which is possibly interpreted as a sample of escalation of
problems that the company faces lately. Also this negative effect is the first in Japan more generally, since no network up to this date has announced a fall in the number of her subscribers.
According to market analysts, Vodafone third bigger supplyer of mobile telephony in Japan after NTT DoCoMo and KDDI, lost around 3100
subscribers at the duration of month July. According to the company's sources 2% from 15 millions of her subscribers is lost, while new subscribers were rather unwilling to come to Vodafone, in a network that in their opinion does not have particularly competitive services and mainly telephones in relation to those of competitors, of NTT DoCoMo and KDDI.
Concretely, statements on this situation were made by Kazuyo Katsuma, an analyst of J.P. Morgan: "The only thing that Vodafone can make is to improve the quality of the provided services, since they want to keep the existing subscribers till December, when they will have many of attractive appliances of third generation. However at this stage Vodafone must do something in order to keep her reputation on high level."
The action of group Vodafone globally touched upon the 1.18 GBP falling around 2 pennies in the grant of London at the duration of
yesterday's meeting. Her subsidiary company in Japan which it was acquired also before 3 years as J-Phone, faces problems in various sectors. In the convenient disposal of new appliances in the market, the presentation of popular appliances and also in the increasing
competition that is expressed with war of prices on behalf of the
other two networks, Vodafone does not appear capable to follow.
While Vodafone Japan it is the first network that announces losses of
subscribers, the corresponding networks in the United States as Cingular Wireless, AT&T Wireless Services and Sprint have announced such losses in the two last years. The world market of mobile telephony has made great growth the last decade, however the networks have begun to face always more intense competition because the climate of saturation it is always difficult for a mobile company to attract new subscribers.

When my contracts up i for one won't be going with vodadone, im sick of their high prices, tinkering with handsets, and poor service.

if we are now talking about vodafone UK then I have never had a problem. mind you I have never bought a branded phone, but for every other aspect they have been great
its strange though because when vodafone started up in australia against Telstra and Optus I thought they were just a bunch of ex used car salesmen selling phones and even now that is enough that I have changed from Telstra to Optus and now back with Telstra and would never consider Vodafone in Aus

the only way im staying with vodafone is if they offer me a 7610 or s700 for free, plus 6months half price line rental when its time to renew my contract
