i have a friend who say that you can text a word i.e pub and it comes back with a list of your local pubs can anyone enlighten me on this please or is it fiction

@dugeon master - Here in Manila that feature is now common Basically most Celfone Networks have that feature, even the traffic situation with 'real-time' images mate So, I guess the answer here will be definitely - will depend on the Celfone Network you are using mate !

Telia (Mobile) in Sweden has such a 'Near You' (Nära Dig) service.

With that service you can:

- Search for information about the place where you are.
- Get a description, by SMS, to find your way.
- Get a map in/to the phone, by WAP.
