Right...

I got my P900 (second hand) a few weeks ago. It worked find for 2weeks with a 128mb memory card. Last week when I was looking through my images on the phone many of them appeared to be messed up - in some the bottom half is grey, in others most of the image is grey as in the image below...



I took the card to a camera shop today to see if they could un-corrupt the card. They said it wasn't corrupted. They said whatever put the image onto the card (Sony P900) didn't store it properly..

Is there a way of recovering the files using some software - if yes can some recommend any software?

If there isn't a way of recovering the files how do I avoid it happening in the future? Could there be a fault with the phone/card? Or could some software installed on the phone have caused it?

Even the mp3 files and videos on the duo card are messed up..

I dont think you can recover a badly written data using a software, coz simply it was'nt written properly! Too sad....

Try reformatting the card completely
Are you using this Mem Stick with some Sony product? eg. Cybershot or something? Beside your P900?
