> P900 Screen quality after extended use

I really enjoy my P900 but the screen quality seems to be degrading fast. I purchased one of the first 500 shipped to the US and have used the phone extensively. The screen is becoming slightly gooey or granulated from use. I asked Sony and got their great customer service reply, "it's your fault not covered". They claim the issue is not effecting other users. I have had 6 pen based devices but none have degraded like this, I think the screen is too soft. How are other's screen holding up?

You mean the actual surface of the screen has become loose or less hardened? Mine seems to be fine, but thats after three months use.

The surface is not loose. The screen has always collected a lot of surface "gunk" but it also seems to degrade from styus use (scratch) more than Ipaqs , Newtons, etc. Looking at the screen from an angle I am beginning to a very scratchy surface from normal use, I just wonder after 12 more months if the screen is going to need replacing ... not good in an $800.00 phone.

that`s why i use a screen protector. i had a p800 and scratched the screen with that crap stylus many times. Bought a p900, i said maybe the stylus is better! It is! but after long and intensive use is starts scratching the screen. My screen protector looks like shit now, so many scratches on a screen never seen in my life, al because of stylus.But the screen is brand new
! Buy a screen protect :
www.p900er.com . And the touchscreen on p900 is very sensitive, the plastic is too soft.
