Pardon me if this has been posted before.

I have owned several SE/E phones like T68, T68i, P800, T610, Z200, P900, K700i. I love SE but one major flaw I've always encountered in their phones is the contacts lookup problem. You can only browse contacts by their initials and not the succeeding letters unlike with Nokias wherein you can type the full name. This is a major setback especially for people with more than a lot of phonebook entries.

I may be wrong with the t68 and t68i since I forgot how the contacts search works with these phones.

P900 and P800,however, has the full name search feature when you're browsing directly from phonebook as far as I remember. but none when looking up for a contact when writing a new message. Still, it's quite tolerable with the P900 since it has the jog-dial which makes it easier to scroll up/down. It's quite horrible though with the other phones that has a joystick.

I hope SE realizes this.

It's true when u browse contacts from the main screen but if you access it using the phonebook menu you can search the whole name of the contact person..still it does suck does it? Hello

perhaps this may be the case with the other se phones, but not weith t610 - when sending a mesg you can 'lookup' the contact, in say the phonebook and it will 'find' the contact for u based on however many chars. u input. so u can search by just the inital or a partial name match, eg alph....

Same goes for the T68i. The "Find" screen will become available when you select the contacts for an SMS.
