This is a tale of woe my friends....
Having been an avid fan of the P800... I upgraded last november to the P900...
I too suffered from the little bit of plastic breaking off under the keypad...
Which I ordered a new casing for it three months ago and fitted successfully....
Last week whilst out walking I received a call....which I took... and meanwhile the heavens opened up.... and me and the p900 got soaked....
The keypad stopped working and the screen locked up...
I went home.... put the whole thing in the airing cupboard after removing my sim and battery...
24 hours later... the keypad half works........
The screen seized working... and on top of that... the new plastic casing.... the bit of plastic cracked and fell out in exactly the same place...
I emailed SE.... they were their helpful selves.... it will cost you!
I tried to restore the software over the internet.... forgetting that i would need the touch screen to complete the sync....
I have now a paperweight..... that shows the SE logo....
I have reverted back to an old Z600.... which I have to say is better made than the P900.... better materials... which I am still shocked about.... In regards that the P900 was the top of the range.... I am now not willing to buy another P*00 series phone as I feel... that the pros of owning one.... is far less than the troubles that I have come across in my ownership of the phone....

Why were you not smart enough to quit the call and put phone in pocket?

Why would a little rain cause so much damage? I live in the UK my friend.... some bad weather should be expected...and products for the UK should be designed to be spash proof like some cheap watches.... I am not talking about being totally water proof... Hindsight is very wise my friend!!!

come on mate u no that there is no such thing as little rain in england espeacially in london, well maybe it depends wat u might think little is. well me i never use my phone in the rain NEVER even if its just tiny little drops from the heavens, because wants the water gets in through the speakers mate ur screwd, and by the way it doesnt quote that any phones on the SE website that its water proof, if it was it they would of said so.

@...cat
I use a HBH-200 as I don't like holding phones to my head - but this also means my P900 is always safe in its pouch. You may wish to think about such a BT headset in the future to minimise exposure of your next Smart/Dumb phone.

@ Jah
I've just returned my HBH-200 as it keeps cutting out and shutting down. When bought it I wasn't told it did not work "in full" with P900 so was a bit miffed also (spent £100 on it!). Does your -200 work in full as I saw recently that new firmware upgrade has overcome the compatability issues?
Also, read in the press that P910 can take up to 1GB memory cards...I thought max was 128mb as per P900?
