> 3sim in my vodafone p900
Bookmark topic
I just got a contract with 3, and, instead of carrying 2 phones everywhere which is getting to be a pain, i want to use my 3sim in my p900. I got my p900 from vodafone, but its unlocked. I've got a t-mobile sim which works fine in it, but the 3 sim wont work in it! Obviously i want to use my p900, its much better than the LG 8110 that i got from 3 (having said that, its not a bad phone actually). I take it theres some sort of *copywriting* on the 3 simcard that means i cant use it in anything other than a 3 phone? Does anyone know any way around this?

I thought that you would be unable to use the three SIM card in your P900 simply due to the fact that the three SIM requires UMTS rather than GSM! But saying that you might be able to use it outside three's coverage area as the SIM then tends to use the GSM O2 network. Thats my thought but I might be wrong.

The SIM cards for the 3 network are called USIM cards and don't work in normal phones.
See

I think that I am right is saying that GSM sims should work in the 3G phones but not the other way around.
