> Li-Pol and Li-on battery mess in k700i

I found out an interesting thing: k700i for Russia are equipped with Li-Pol Battery, but hereĻ, in Czech Republic, we have Li-On battery in ours k700i. Interesting, huh?

the only difference i think is that the li-pol batteries have a sort of gel in them and its used instead to make the batteries thinner. are the batteries the same size? put them both together and examine

Yes but it's not the same thing. The Polymer makes the battery thinner, the technology is newer.

This is not the case with lithium ion polymer
Additionally, the absence of free liquid makes Lithium-ion polymer batteries more stable and less vulnerable to problems caused by overcharge, damage or abuse.

From this one, I see that the only advantage is in the shape versatility of the Li-Polymer batteries. And also a slight increase in safety.
But that the cycle number is slightly decreased when compared to Li-Ion batteries, because they had to make a hybrid Li-Ion-Polymer battery to decrease the internal resistance of a purely Li-Polymer.
I personally think the differences are small enough that I do not feel cheated if I get my phone with either type of battery. After all, they have the same size, the same capacity and roughly the same recycling properties.

oh wait, there really isn't any! Performance-wise they are about the same for me (i.e. the K700i still drains them no matter what)
Anyone wanting a Li-Poly battery can get one from eBay by typing k700 desktop charger in the search field (the charger comes with a free battery, same model used in the T610)
