I'm a Vaio sucker, I'd upgrade to XP Pro and hope the thing can take the memory sticks from your P900

Mine's an ancient Toshiba Satellite with:
A P120 processor
48mb ram
2Gb HDD
STN screen
NO CD drive!
And not even one USB port
It must be getting on for 10 years old, the CMOS battery's gone (it loses the current time and ends up running a month slow when it's switched off for more than a few hours), is running Win 95 but it still just about working! Do I win the prize for oldest laptop?

I bought mine half a year ago. I don't have a big interest of the specs (so I don't know all by heart) but mainly it is as follows:
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A-7620
15" TFT screen (1024x768)
Around 2 GHz processor, Pentium/AMD athlon XP-M something
DVD-ROM, CD-RW
512 MB RAM (I had it increased from the original 256) (maybe DDR-RAM)
ATI mobility 9000 graphics, if it is 32 or 64 I don't care, I don't play games
5 USB ports (this I am satisfied with)
40 GB harddisc
PCMI (one slot)
Parallell port
TV-out
Built-in ethernet card (LAN)
Battery time around two hours
I run Linux Fedora 2 (VERY satisfied!) on it
Of course, now I regret that I didn't take the next model in line, with built-in wireless LAN and bigger HDD, but I know that I will never be satisfied anyway.
Good: Powerful processor (nice when doing image manipulation)
Bad: Heavy and short battery time

Your option to buy Toshiba notebook was very good.I have Toshiba Satellite Pro M 200. Great machine ! Processor centrino 1,5 Ghz,RAM 512 mb,Video 64 mb,hard disc 40 gb, 3x usb 2,1 x PP,1 fire wire,Wifi, and I don't know what more.I wanted P series of Toshiba as well but it seems to me a little bit big.

Anyway P series have the best processors.
