I can help you out here Budd. The orange wap service that you are using(probably) does not support GIF files which is the file type of T68 background pictures. All you need to do is click on the link below and Ericsson will send the new profile to your T68 for Using Ericssons own wap service, this does support GIF files. I did this and have not looked back. Works really well and the pics load up nice and quickly.

Hello,
I am a Cingular Wireless customer in California and cannot access the T68 logos here on Esato. Does anyone know if Cingular's network supports the images tranferred? Thanks!

Cheers Beetle,

Your response is more than appreciated,

can't figure it out, i think i will phone orange about this. Maybe it is dodgy s/ware on the handset. This has really done my head in because the day after i got the phone i bought an infrared port for my desktop PC and had no end of trouble with that. I installed the win2k driver on XP and when i put my infra red port on my phone next to it my PC would power off and reboot. Talk about bad luck or what, technology just get's on my wick, i work all day fixing PC's and when i get home i really can't be a*rsed solving my own problems. I took the port back to the shop and the sales dude was getting clever telling my PC was knackered. Nothing to do with the unbranded Infrared port that had shady drivers that don't support XP then. Think i will take up subsitence farming!!!

Hey Budd, just down the road, Barrow in Furness here. Small world eh?
I was thinking of an IRDA but I ain't too hot with a pC and am a bit owrried it will be beyond me, I have Windows millenium and have downloaded all the Ericsson software so am ready to go, can't decide wether to get an IRDA or just a data cable, what do you think will be best? I heard that I need the official Ericsson cable as the 3rd party ones won't work with the T68?

barrow-in-furness eh, cool, been there once. An irda would be better as i bought a data cable for my 8210 and it seems a bit of a waste now, especially seen as the 8210 supported infra red!!

The trouble is with infra red ports is that they are generally unbranded which means dodgy drivers, craetive used to do a cd-rom drive with integrated infra red, my word i wish i had one of those now!!
