Hi first post but a long time lurker.

Couple of problems with my Voda K700i.

First, should the phone be lit up while charging, I'm talking screen backlight & keyboard.

Second, the phone lock the K700i has 3 settings same as my T610, these are - on, off and auto, I have the phone set to auto but every time I switch on it asks me for the phone lock code (I had no probs with my T610 set on auto).

The phone doesnt light up when on charge, i dont know of many that do. Cant help you with the lock, sorry.

many people have posted here about the K700 being lit up when charging and I have seen it a couple of times myself.

the lock problem is something I noted when I did my review (see my sig below) and apparantly is still not fixed in the latest firmware

auto is supposed to only ask for the phone lock code when the sim card is changed and the phone powered on

Thanks for the replies.

Took it to the Voda shop in Oxford st yesterday, they said they can flash the latest firmware, takes about an hour, so I'll wait until they fix the phone lock prob before getting it flashed.

Even with light settings on automatic and power-saver, the phone is lit up when charging, but this is only if the phone is turned OFF when the charger is connected. if the phone is left on while charging it isnt lit up!
