Id be quite interested to hear samples of the poly ringtones in the K700i - particularly as I would be upgrading to a Vodafone branded one (as it seems Carphone Warehouse cant get unbranded ones yet on Vodafone) - and the MP3 ringtone thing has been disabled. I have been searching all day for various K700i related things, but not come across any factory/original ringtone samples. Does anyone know where I might find them online?

Thanks...Michelleski

there isn't a huge amount but it does come with mono tones as well.

Why not just buy the phone on a different network like O2, so that you still get the phone free + can use it for the purpose it was built for.

...because I then have to sign up for 12 months with O2 surely? and I am trying to reduce my mobile bill, not increase it! Maybe i have misunderstood you - perhaps you have a cunning plan that I havent already thought of?! The current deal is, Im with Vodafone and billed by CPWarehouse. I have hit the month where I can upgrade my handset and when I called today I told them I was thinking of leaving CPW... so I got put through to their Loyalty people who offered me a K700i (or a n6230) for nothing... that sort of made me sit up and listen, but of course being with Vodafone you get the bum deal re branding....

I dont really want to spend money on an 02 handset - which would only be free if I signed up for a contract I guess. Yes? (I can hear myself repeating myself, myself - ooh theres and echo too!)

..AND/or you can visit sonyericsson.com/fun and downloads and preview them there. I did, and downloaded a formula one ringtone from Z1010 to my K700i

Thanks everyone...

@Feco - very useful that group, thanks for pointing me there. I am really in a quandry now. If I get a Vodafone branded K700i I wont be able to use "ring ring ring" as my ringtone - with it being mp3. Grrrrr. (do correct me if im wrong!).

Why did vodafone have to take away functionality from this fab handset.

Does anyone know if the poly tones I downloaded for my T610 are going to work on the K700i - I assume yes, but thought i'd check. I cant live without my 'old phone' ringtone!

Cheers...Michelleski
