Hi Guys,

On my two week vacation in Turkey, the headset of my SE P900 broke. One of the earpieces started cracking when I was listen to music so the damn thing broke. I was lucky that I had a reserve headset with me (just normal headphones with a 2.5mm jack soldered on it).
But because I wanna use the original (for listening music and make/receive calls) I soldered the 2 earpieces of a Sony headset onto
my original SE headset.
But I don't like the quality of it, the volume is higher, but it sounds if the bass is gone. It depends on the music that I listen to, but with all the songs the sound is 'higher' so the bass is not pounding like it should. I use Oggplay 1.10 and Unreal Player 2.2 to listen to music, but cannot hear any difference in sound quality between the 2 programs. In my opinion the original SE headphones were the best (very strange....but true), the low and high tones sounded much better with those earpieces.
Does anybody maybe know a way to solve this problem, or has anybody had a similar problem like me with non-SE headphones, if so, how did you solve it?
And does anybody know where I can get a good headset (dont care if it is original or not) to use with my SE headphones, but it has to be one with a mic in it so I dont have to plug it out if I receive a call when I am listening to music?

Regards,

Molski

i soldered a 3.5mm jack into my nokia headset so i could use these worked fine for me. it all depends on the headphones and if you want bass these have plenty. with the eq on my iriver h120 it sounds (and kinda feels) like im sitting on a sub-woofer

Yeah...that's a real good headphone...but don't wanna spend big $$ for something I don't use that much...
I will see if I can get my bass back with another headphone and if that don't gonna work.....f**k it! Then I just buy the super Sony headphones (although I cannot make and receive calls with that headphone, and I sure want that)
