Hi all. I have a K700i on O2.

SMS text messages are taking anything from 6 hours to a week to arrive on my phone, and when they do arrive 3 or 4 seem to arrive at once.

I've phoned O2 - they recommended :-
Trying to manually get phone to log onto another network, and then logging back onto O2.
Cleaning the SIM card.

I've done both ... and it's done nothing !

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Tim.

If you have this problem from different numbers on different networks, including O2, it is the problem of the network profider. Doing a network update (HLR) is not the solution. This only solves problems not receiving sms at all or people can't call you. SMS arriving late meanst problems on the SMS centre of O2.

I have heard of this problem several times from people on O2. Unfortunately I dont think there is anything that can be done about it.

Hey
Im having exactly the same problem with my k700i (on o2.)
I went into the shop i bought it from and they tried a reset as 'apparently' it had happened with a previous customer and they received a backlog of messages. however when tried on my phone the problem was not resolved.
A message keeps popping up telling me that i have too many messages and asks me if i want to delete some from any folder to which i oblige to even though i know i have only 3 messages in my inbox none in my sent messages and outbox and only 2 in the drafts (this doesnt sound like a full message memory problem to me?!) i have checked the phone status and it says i have 29mb free memory too.
I also thought that perhaps its a problem with the network so i put my sim (which i have had quite a while) back into my old phone and almost all the missing messages appear instantly so i believe the problem lies with the phone not the network?!
I am lost for suggestions as the only other thing i can think of is sending it to be repaired (a suggestion from the shop) but if the fault is not technical either then what is it and what else can i do?
any suggestions would be really appreciated!
