well, those r the main locations which make mobile phones
and compete each other to take the lead, but their r some points
which i likes to mention and see if u agree with me and im right..
first of all lets take japan, as i think its the most advanced
country in the world, specially in the communication technology...
they always take the lead in the networks, and devices, for example they r working now on 4G while only few countries in world have 3G as 2nd option, the S700 will be availble in worldwide after being in a japanese market for more than one and a half year.
but i still think they r not dointtheir best. if u ask me what japan can
make by this time, i say a mobile with 1000K colors, 1 giga internal memory, 5 or more MPix cam, 3D stero speaker, and can play anyformat of multimedia we know.. but all these things r not availbe for now, so is it cuz they cant, or its marketing wise , or it will be very
expensive now? hmmm,,, but still they r making the best mobiles ,
look what sony made when they joined ericsson, but they still
lack how to make luxurious look for their phone, they like futuristic desings...
Korea, and mainly sumsung, cuz i used LG, they r good, but till now
they cant compete world wide. Samsung r very celever, they became
the 2nd biggest mobile company in a very short time, while there mobiles comparing to other regions, expensive to what the mobile has,
i mean low options... they have expensive mobiles, greatest screens, best cams, and great sound, and thats it, nothing more.. so they were vert smat cuz most of the companies were trying to make advanced mobiles, which many ppl dont want specially women, or cheap mobiles and very low in options, and lack the three elements whic samsung r good in. so a big range of ppl turn to samsung fans cuz if this, cuz they only need a good looking mobile, with nice colors, cam, and sound, and WALA, they sell more than SE, motorola, siemens and became the biggest threat for nokia sales.. and i believe they will be the biggest soon..
Europe, which has many companies , but mainly we can Nokia, SE which most of r japanese, and siemens, maybe we can say alcatel too, but it really has small market comparing to those comanies. so in general, those companies provide the same options in thies mobiles
and the most known and used around the world. but only nokia who always make a big range , so they cover all kind of what ppl like, and most of thier phones r similar with changing the case and add or remove one or 2 options , and i think this became a useless strategy,
as their sellings strated to drop. SO, if we gonna talk about europe in general, they always make the greatest and most luxurious phones, as many of us were comparing Ericssons designs with SE , and most of ur perfered Ericsson cuz it was very classy. but i think they improvement is very slow, as they think about marketing more than improving,
and i cant blame on that cuz after all they wanna to make money, but still they can give us better devices..
finally , come America, and the idol , Motorola. i think motorola till last 2 years never gave enough attention to the golbal market as the US market was enough for them, they sell alot with no real competitor. AS this market guaranteed thier lead in the world wide market as the 2nd biggest companu after Nokia , till samsung tool this place, but still they r very close to them.. but about the mobile itself..?? for long time and as i've tried , Motorola was the most stupid mobiles ive used, they were always lack many options, till the last 2 years when they started to make phones for the rest of the world, and cuz they need to sell so they had to make phones which is similar or better which what is availble, and they really done a great job lately.. but still they lack the imagination in their designs, which is not that good, and their sotware
also, so slow and buggy, and most if it is copy of what europe and Japan made, they r still follower not leader in this field, thought their big sales. Not to forget that they use microsoft operating system for their smart phones, which i prefer symbian.... so they r still far
from perfection, but they r great in marketing..

Theres a couple of interesting observations in there, especially about the success of Samsung, and the way they specificallly target only "average" users, leaving the more high-end stuff well alone.

totally agree with ya pal.
but i think motorola have more or less gotten their act together.
some of the new phones have some good features, but they still lag way behind in terms of design and aesthetics.
also, you are comparing mobile phone manufacturers based on the number of phones they sell. the company that sells most number of phones might not be making all the money.
samsung/lg make a lot of lower end mobiles, where the margins for profit are minute. whereas margins on say a p900 or a 7610 are much greater. so se can make the same money selling fewer p900s compared to samsung selling lots of their base end models.
but, one thing's for sure.. its a really competitive market out there and most of the innovations that we see in our phones today were actually invented/tested in japan.
its a very erratic market.. i mean, motorola ruled number 2 position for as long as i can remember, and suddenly within a few years samsung have snatched number 2 slot. so, in another few years time, no one knows who'll be 1, 2 or 3. maybe SE will be at number 1??

well, as i can see and think
that samsung make the best profit as their mobiles
dont have the same options we see on SE or NOKIA
and at the same time, the price is the same or more
and doesnt change fast as other cpmanies
im talking here about out region...
so i think they make the best profit..
