I'm trying to make one at the moment though though the sample one i found on the net was much to small a pixel size

yeah the dimensions, as in the background with the flip open is 208 pixels wide x 254 pixels high

I was under the impression it was the same as the screen dimensions: 208 x 320... Or 208 x 208 with a solid bottom for flip-closed-optimized screen savers. I haven't started doing custom screen savers for my themes, but those dimensions were my assumption.
I could very well be wrong though.

All the screensavers (.gif's) I use (custom or otherwise) are 208x320. This is full screen.
