Apologies, a bit of a long one!

Being a clumsy git I have taken out insurance with most of my phones, and have used it a couple of times in the past.
The latest of these has highlighted a worrying change from Vodafone. The screen went on my P900 and I took into my local shop. I'm lucky as my local vodafone shop has it's own workshop on site. However they didn't have any screens in and would call (They gave me a loan phone). Week later screen arrives and I go in to get it repaired. Whilst filing the Insurance claim I was told that the excess (usually £25) had increased to £100!
Being a tad miffed at this I mentioned that I was not informed of this at any stage etc. etc. and the manager relented and said that they would still charge £100, but would at the same time credit my account with £75, so I only pay £25 excess (it might have also had something to do with the fact that the shop was heaving with "potential" customers, and I am very loud at times!). An hour later phone repaired and I'm almost a happy bunny.

Anyway Vodafone have aparently farmed out there insurance to a 3rd party and they have put the excess up. So despite forking out for insurance every Month breaking your phone will still cost an arm and a leg!

I think I had better start using that girly "purse" case that came with the phone.....
