> Bluetooth 1.1 to 1.2?

Hi Guys, just some food for thought. i have a hp tablet pc and recently hp released a firmware upgrade that update the bluetooth spec for the table from 1.1 to 1.2. i was very impressed! do you htink we will be able to do that to our phones? (any brand or model)

couldn't provide a firmware update for 1.2 compatibility because as I understand it there is no hardware change.
1.2 include adaptive frequency hopping to allow bluetooth device to change frequency when they detect interference from wifi device which share the same frequency.
it also improves sound by cancelling some echo that can be heard and it also improves general interoperability between different manufacturer chipsets

Even if

could provide a firmware update for this I wouldn't expect that they would. They will probably introduce it in newer phones.
And lets not forget that BT version 2 is currently being discussed and designed
