sending an mms to a nokia 6230 from my k700, it comes out small and she cant zoom it either, the pic was 25kb and 640x480. she sends an mms to me, again it comes out small and doesnt fill the screen. both pics were taken using the phones camera at maximum resolution and her pic on mine is 160x120.

is this normal or what because it kinda makes the phone cameras and all this mms stuff pretty useless when you send a mms to someone and the picture comes out tiny.

I think it may be an operator thing rather than the actual phones. sending an mms from my orange t610 to my o2 6600 the picture comes up as a "presentation" rather than an actual picture file and I cant save it! fooking useless!

Err no ive never had a problem between o2 and o2 actually. check your settings, my 6600 has an option to resize images in an mms so it may be that actually sorry

k700 doesnt seem to have any options like that for mms settings. the 6230 might have, ill look later, but it would have to apply to sent messages AND incomming messages because its done it with one i sent to it, and one that was sent from it.

I just bought a Nokia 6230 - i had the same problems. I'm new to the whole nokia thing so lemmie try to get this right. Apologies if i stumble, fumble and fall

Nokia receives the MMS and it shrinks the picture so that the text scrolls at the bottom. I dont particularly like that - but after the scroll you can click on options and view text or view pictures in its wonderful wonderful glory.

Re sending picture messages from the nokia - chances are your friend hasn't changed the default settings that automatically resizes the picture to 120x160 mode for picture messaging. With that she should go to messages-> Message Settings->Scale Image Down->(then select no)

Hopefully everything would turn out alrite in the end
