If the SE Service Center cannot do anything with the problem, then I guess it will prudent for you to start learning the Chinese lingo mate

depending on your organiser software version, language packs for the P900 can be found on the
P900 support page

How do I change the language in the P900?
When you start your P900 for the first time, you have to choose a language.
When a language has been selected, unused languages are deleted to conserve storage space.
You can use the "Download Language" utility on the "PC Suite for P900" CD to load and delete languages at any time.
Once you have selected a new language, you have to turn the P900 off and then on again for the change to take effect.
However, for a P908 (chinese version) there might me limited options.

hello all again and thanx for your replys, I probably forgot to mention that the interface is in English but mainly everything else is in Chinese including the dictionary, now if i installed PC Suite (US version) will that be enough for my device to do format and replace it with English version or are there additional steps has to be taken? i went to sony website and i have seen many english language files (kinda confusing)
i am XdaII expert but very new to Symbian so i appreciate all your feed back on this. thanks.

i just got an email from sony regarding this problem:
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Call Center. Since this phone
doesn't belong to our region Middle East & Africa (MEA), the CDA file is
blocked for the Chinese language, and none of the Sony Ericsson
Authorized Service Centers can flash the phone to change the default language.
------------------------
it seems i have invested my money with the wrong company, what a shame.
please if anyone has a solution don't hesitate to mention it.

The authorised service centres don't have the authority and may even ability to do that. It's true. The phone is distributed to China. Maybe better to swap with someone who wants a P908.

hey there,
my phone comes with both english and chinese too - i believe it was distriuted for the asia market. you should be able to select english as the primary language. are you even able to navigate to the language option at this point? drop me a PM and i'll be happy to want you thru it.

believe it or not, i found local shop here that unlocked the CDA thing and just done exactly what i want him to do in the P900. i can't believe it, the guy is not even an expert, well i think i'll stick with Pocket Pc XDAII Windows Mobile, and give this one as a BD gift, it's just not for me. i don't know what were they thinking when they lock phone and sell them, it's just not right.
