> Q's about Sony 256 mb pro duo
Bookmark topic
Good Day, How many kinds of 256mb duos does Sony have? I've heard of the two sided 256mb duo which you can use 128mb on one side and another 128mb on the other side (or is this an optional feature?).. Does Sony have a 256mb duo wherein you can use the whole 256mb without any need to switch from one side to the other?
thanks much

the two sides memory sticks you mention are called memory stick select however I have just had a quick look around the different manufacturer sites (sony, lexar, sandisk) and still don't see any memory stick selects in duo format
so the only 256mb duo that is available is the 256mb duo pro and as we know this won't work on P800 or P900

hehe, thanks masseur. I will not be using it with the p900 btw.
I have been coming across a lot of stores selling the 256 duo; and a lot of these stores have written in there product descriptions that it has two sides (123mb each):
http://www.amazon.com/exec/ob[....]L/103-3156338-9953441?v=glance
http://www.blastro.com/shop/b[....]type-AsinSearch-locale-us.html
Am I missing something here? tnx. cause I have a 256 mb duo exactly like in those links. It says it has 220+mb free. Are these two different kinds of sticks?

I have exactly that same product (and the Sony 512mb duo pro too) for my DSC-T1 camera and can tell you that amazon have clearly made a mistake in their description and it would seem that the company in the second link have simply copied that incorrect description
