I think that bt-mobile use the o2 network (like virgin uses the t-mobile network) so the reception should be the same as o2's

As you are in london i suppose that all the networks would have excellent reception in the capital. My o2 network in northern ireland and in the tayside area of scotland is good. never had any reception problems (unless when near the irish border and for some reason it attracts to the irish netork even thou a strong o2 network)
