I am having reoccuring problems Syncing with my P900.
I have the latest version of PC Suite - downloaded from the web 2.4.1 - and have uninstalled and reinstalled many many times. I have stopped Zonealarm (fw) and disabled Norton. However, sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. I don't know what else to do!!!!
I am running XP Pro (German) and am connecting via the USB cable on COM9 (the PC Suite says that I am connected on COM 9 - USB - Connected). I have also gone into the Phone Control Panel - and clicked on connections-cable and made sure that the cable status is modem. The Device Manager says that I have SEMC DSS Syncstation on COM9.
Any advice?

I have the same problem and have de-installed and re-installed 2.4.1 several times. My IT guys think that it may be somethig to be with a recent Msoft security patch to XP (do you have auto-download switched on for updates). There is nothing about it on the Ericsson website. Until I can find a solution, I have set another PC up with Windows 2000 and am Synching with that - there is no problem, which again points to something to do with XP.

It may not help you but I have exactly the same problem. SE suggested reformatting te HD...oh really! However, a small glimmer og hope for you. If your PC is a laptop or has IR, I'm happy to report that it syncs perfectly over IR both through the firewall (Zonealarm) and through the antivirus (avast).

I have IR, Bluetooth and the synchstation but they have all stopped working on XP. On W2k they are fine. Maybe SE's suggestion of wiping the HD would work since that would also wipe out all the Windows updates that may be causing the problem! A lot of work for little gain I would think!
