> Orange K700i - SMS?

Hi there,
This may seem like a stupid question, but, can anyone tell me how to send an SMS message on an Orange K700i?!
The 'new message' thing on the menu takes you to an new MMS, as does 'write new' on the messages menu.
You can't push the joystick left to get to a new SMS message, since Orange disabled the shortcuts.
Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing that's so stupid?

im on orange with k700, i go to write text it goes to text and use the shortcut on the desktop it goes to normal txt, so some setting or something is wrong on ur phone :s

a master reset won't solve it. give Orange CS a shout and get them to send you the SMS settings.
if you've done a master reset, you'll probably need your GPRS & MMS settings aswel.
