I'm hoping to get my K700i firmware upgraded at a CPW service center. A Few questions before I go:
1: Will it be free?
2: Will it be while-I-wait, or will I have to leave the phone with them. If the latter, for how long will they have to keep it?

Edit Note: I have an O2 branded one. Is this ok? (The only branding is a few screensavers and a logo on the menu)

I got my P800 done free there as it was still in warrenty. If you bought the phone somewhere else take your receipt as proof of purchase. They usually take the phone off you for a day.

If you get the phone to them early they should get it back to you same day. They can easily do it in a couple of hours. Phone the centre a day before and grovel a bit.

I got my p800 done for free at the cpw - despite the phone being secondhand and out of warranty period! If the phone's playing up (like my p8 was) they may well do it for you for free, which I wasn't expecting and was quite pleasantly suprised by!
