> SE K700i texts not being sent
Bookmark topic
Hi there, everyone.
I previously had a O2 Online PAYG SIM, and migrated onto an O2 Online contract. Ever since then I can't send texts. When I use my O2 Online contract SIM in my Sony Ericcson K700i and try to send a text, it says "Sending failed unknown recipient" as I have read has happened to other people in other threads. I put my SIM in my Nokia 7250i, and when I try to send a text, it says "Number not in use." O2 replaced my SIM, same problem. I tried my friend's O2 (Offline) contract SIM in my K700i, and texts sent fine.
This has been going on for over a month now. My e-mails to O2 are getting me nowhere. I have phoned O2 Customer Care on numerous occasions, getting me nowhere but spending over £40 (at 50p/min) in the process. I am paying £20/month on line rental so I get 500 free texts, none of which I can use!!
This is getting right on my nerves, and I'm at the end of my tether!
Can someone help? Please!
I have read
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=62329 but it doesn't give a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Well seeing as your SIM doesn't work in either phone but another SIM works in your phone the problem is with your SIM & not the phone.
I suspect only O2 can solve your problem. Seems like they have programmed your SIM(s) with an innactive message centre or something.
O2 Customer Services don't seem to like admiting they're wrong so keep at it

Thanks, I have had my settings checked and re-checked. In fact, today I took my phone to the O2 Shop (well, one of the O2 Shops) on Oxford Street, the guy that served me said they can't do anything on the Online tariffs, but he did check the settings, and confirmed they were correct.
So where do I go from here? Keep spending my time and money trying to sort this out with O2 Customer Care? They just chat $#!t, as far as I'm concerned.
Cheers!

Yeah, I believe for 50p/min they deliberately keep you on and don't help.
I never ring them myself I make the O2 shop ring. A while ago they said they can't ring O2 Online any more but THEY CAN & have done since!

@ak-47 - Glad to have you here at esato

Well I guess the best solution to your problem is that you 'directly' go (surprise visit) to their Business Center nearest you, then have your simcard replaced, if they don't bother doing so, then might as well 'terminate' your present 'line' with them as you are having problems with your sms feature

You are paying a monthly bill wherein you just cannot utilize all of it's features/services of the O2 network

! Consider dude . . .
