I bought a new T610, while sending some screensavers from my T310 I noticed sth. Gif file was only 17kb on t310 but 67kb on t610

41kb images only took 13kb on my pc and t310

is this same at all t610's

Yes! Unfortunately this occurs on all T610s, T630s & Z600s.
Thankfully it has been fixed for K700

Do you know its reason?
Can it be fixed with firmware update or is it a hardware deal?

I don't know the technical reason sorry but I'm pretty sure there is no f/w upgrade that fixes it although it probably could be done if SE wanted.

the bigger picture size is a result of the t610 saving the pictures in 'RAW Format' it saves the picture with an additional bit of information for "fast access" and a firmware update will not be released to fix this. if SE were planning to fix it in the t610 it would have been fixed in one of the 8 (or more?) fw upgrades since the fone was released!

Oh and you could have just used the search

I know the solution: When u upload a file in .gif format you have to acces from ur pc the file, right click it, then go to the last item of the menu you get (in dutch its eigenschappen, dunno whats that in english). then in that menu go to advanced, theres an option to encode the file, and an option to compress it. that also makes it smaller in ur phone.
