> T68i Problem

Hi All,
Been a while since I posted here, since I haven't had a SE for a while.
However, my mate sold me his T68i for cheap today so I can have it as a second phone.
However, When I turn it on, I get the following message.
Ggggggg41
On the main screen. Phone still works fine, but I want the message to go away.
I don't really want to pay money to get a software upgrade, so hopefully there is an easy fix to this problem.
Its happened with 3 SIM cards. 2 different Providers.
Here's a pic I took, not very good quality as I had to turn the flash off.
