I used to have Syncstation running on my XP computer with my K700i just
fine.

I have now installed SP2 and installed the latest WIDCOMM drivers for my
bluetooth dongle.

I can connect to my PocketPC just fine so that must be working fine.

I can pair with my K700i and connect to its serial port.

However, when trying to use Syncstation I just get:

"Failed to start synchronisation. No connection."

I have insalled the latest version of Syncstation off the SE website and the
same thing happens.

Any ideas on how to get this working again?

Cheers!

yes, you can sync over bluetooth as I do it quite often although with the initial K700 firmware version its not so stable

the trick, like with many pc connection problems, is to be sure you have the correct com port assigned in mobile phone monitor "called phone monitor options in control panel)

my question would be why are you trying to use crappy widdcom drivers when SP2 has native bluetooth support?

@Ewok

Have you actually used the bluetooth stack available in SP2? Its not actually as good as you may think. The main problem is that it is missing several profiles. This, most notably for myself, stops functionality such as WAN Access in ActiveSync. From what I read on various forums unless you only have basic needs the stack in SP2 just doesn't have as much functionality. Check here before upgrading to SP2:

@masseur

Yeah, when I try to connect to my phones serial port in bluetooth manager it connects on COM6. So I went into the Phone Monitor in control panel and checked that COM6 is listed and NOT disabled. Seems OK there.

Do you have any other ideas?
