I've just upgraded to a 128 MB Sony Memory Stick Duo. I wonder if anyone knows how to transfer all the data from the 32 MB Memory Stick to the new one without having to reformat the SonyEricsson P900??

I guess formatting and then doing a full copy in a card reader on a desktop should get you everything fine.

isn't the easiest way just to backup with the old memory stick in the P900 and be sure to tick the box to backup the memory stick. probably a good idea anyway if you haven't done one for a while.

then do a restore with the new memory stick in the P900 ?

Thatīs the way I did it with success.

I've had the best luck with a Memory Card reader. The backup software just takes too damn long.

Thanks for all the help guys! Since I don't have a memory card reader, I followed the simplest procedure to do a back of my data (programs & data), changed the memory card, and restored! It worked, voila!!

Thankee all!!

Hello, I just bought a new 128MB (123.5MB?) mem stick and I've transferred all my info from the previous mem stick to the new one using the backup and restore method. Question is how do I now completely empty the old mem stick so I can use it to install other stuff? Will reformatting do? I heard some people had problems reformatting their mem stick. Any ideas and suggestions? Thanks

While on the subject, if I could ask a newbie question... just how do you reformat a memory stick? the secret function of the phone only allows reformatting the phone....
