> Display Chinese on K700i?

Hi all,
I just got my k700i. Very happy with it, but cannot figure out if there is anyway to display chinese on this phone. I know there is a 700c version, but mine is bought in Australia and only the i version is available.
I'd like to have this feature to display chinese SMSes and MP3's song titles.

Maybe this helps: go to a Sony Ericsson Service Centre in Australia and ask them if they could install the Chinese firmware to your K700i so it becomes a K700c.
Please let us know in this thread when you have done that and tell us if it's possible; maybe there are some other people out there with the same need ?

I have a K700i from hong kong which came with both English and chinese. It might be simplied chinese but as it shows in the language options with chinese characters I really cannot tell you, though I could post a pic here and you can read it yourself
basically this means you can ask for a chinese language pack to be installed either as part of reloading the same firmware you have or when you next upgrade
Australia is multi cultural enough that they might happily do this for you

I'm confusing myself as I type. Does unbranded signature firmware with language pack X accept upgrades with language pack Y? As... if the fw is built the same way as T610 fw, this would be a different 'version'
can anybody follow? And perhaps answer?

Indeed I will have specific experience tomorrow when I attempt to get R2L loaded onto my K700i in UK which, when I used to do that on my Hong Kong bought T610/T630 etc, did change the languages

well.. I went for my R2L upgrade and it gave a message about inconsistant firmware or something similar which apparantly means they could not upgrade me to the UK version of R2L.
the service centre I go to are reasonably friendly and assured me they could download the hong kong version (presumably different only by languages) and that would work.
can't back back until a week on friday so I'll find out for sure then

because IMHO it would be unbelievably stupid if
would have overlooked that people would want to use different language packs.... so upgrading just has to be possible.... I'm begging now

finally got my K700 upgraded to R2L in UK today but only with the hong kong varient which is all the system would allow. Still, thats good enough for me but it does appear that the certification won't allow a change in language pack since the local version couldn't be loaded (ge tried again today)
I also bought a second K700, a UK version with R2L, so after its charged I'm going to check out what the difference is if any (apart from the languages of course)
