I've had my P900 for a month and do always use the handwriting recognition instead of the tiny little keyboard...
After one month without a screen protector my screen looks awful, you can se were i have written and it looks terrible in sunlight!
I've send it back to SE and are getting a new screen on warranty (they didn't argue because they know about the problem), when it arives i'm gonna put a screen protector on.
I have a friend who have had a couple of PDA's during the years and i showed him my screen, he said that he never had seen something like that and we looked at one of his oldest PDA wich had small scratches on the screen but not so much like my one month old P900!
I am very careful with the screen and are using so little pressure as possible when i am writing on it.
Don't use your P900 without a screen protector!!!

Weird. That has never happened to my P800 in 18 months of use! I wonder why P900s are different.

I dont have a problem with my stylus and screen. Have you checked your stylus? Perhaps its rough on the tip and causing the scratches on the screen. Try the other stylus and compare them. You can use a magnified lens to do that if you want. However if you want to be sure about it get a screen protector.
Just a tip by the way, the P900 instructions on how to remove the flip points that the stylus to be used in order to remove the cover by inserting it into the hole and adding pressure. I believe that this is causing the tip of the stylus in some cases to be scratched or get damaged and become rough. I, personally avoid to use the stylus for this operation and use something else, but not the stylus.

Hey!
Are you sure you are using the SE stylus and not an ink-pencil??
I'm sure using other then SE-stylus could leave marks...

I dont use a screen protector, and my p900 screen is like new! Maybe you are leaning a bit too hard? It only needs a light touch.

The first thing I did when I bought my p900 was to get a martin fields screen protector. I even left that dodgy bit of plastic thats on the screen when you get it, on until it arrived. I was really paranoid about it.
Then when I had to be sent a new p900 because mine stopped charging, my screen protector had little bits of fleck and dust on it which I couldn't get off. So I didn't put it back on and didn't get round to replacing it.
Now after over 5 months use there arn't any noticable scratches or marks.
My Conclusions: While I was very impressed with the MF screen Protector, it does nothing that a bit of care doesn't do for free!

I only use the original stylus and have checked it, i also are very careful when i write on the screen.
As i sad before so am i only using the handwriting recognition and i am writing many and long e-mails daily, i can se scratches at the areas were i have written. Those who only uses the little keyboard wouldnt have any problem with scratches from the stylus.
Have you checked your screens in different angles in the sun, my looks awful after a month???

The only thing that is visible after I use the virtual keyboard is only the traces from the tip touching the virtual keyboard but it goes away with a dry cloth. Its not a scratch though.
