OK here`s the situation: I have Z1010 and it is from italian TIM. When I put my SIM and turn it on, it starts-up regulary, registers to our network BUT... I can`t make any calls and noone can call me. SMS works regulary, so is GPRS but voice... no way

With SIM from our other network it works just fine. What might be the problem? Anyone please???

The SIM is just fine, it works in any other phone. I have tried 3 different SIM cards from the same operater without any change... Still it won`t make a phone call. It must have something to do withe the network itself...

This is a very similar fault with a R520 that I bought. I was told that the problem was that the phone had been blocked by the networks. I would go back to where you bought it and get it looked at.

Hi. My operator back in Greece is TIM (GR) and when I bought the phone, it did not make any calls either. The problems where 2:
-You need to have a 3G sim in order for the phone to work correctly, so go and change your SIM card.
-Some networks have a problem when changing from 3G to 2G and vice versa. This is related to the SIM card also, but also network related.
So go get a 3G sim card and there will be a 90% chance you wont have a problem anymore. If you still have a problem then call your operator and tell them.

I've got a "3" branded Z1010 here... When I first switch to the non-3 SIM card, it will still connect to their network in "SOS calls only" mode. However, I either do a Network Select and pick the other SIM's network manually, which takes a while, or doe New Search a couple of times, cancel after a few seconds each time, and it hooks up to the SIM's regular network, no problemo.
A bit of a pain in the ass...
