k700i's screen is far from tiny. I got a "notepad" program for read .txt files, and you can read 18 lines of text. I do not think that is "so tiny".
However I did not yet find any .pdf readers.

Tiny screen? And what do you think about Nokia 6600, almost or same screen size and can read .pdf.

Ok its not tiny but i think is kind of unconfortable to read in my p900 (no problems with litle files but an e-book is a pain in the @ss) so the screen in the k700 is smaller and thats why im saying its small. Its small to read text!

I believe most of us at this forum find joy in the portability and versatility of well-made compact mobile phones, and are delighted when we can actually read documents from them, thereby saving us the trouble of lugging along a laptop or a conventional, paper-based book. (Or even an O2 XDA which some of us find too big!)
Getting back to the subject of .pdf files, I don't know of any midlet .jar files that can read them.
However, I am currently reading a text file of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables on my 7250i. (Great book, btw!) Guys, go to
http://tequilacat.nm.ru/dev/br/index-en.html. Download the free Bookreader midlet. Very nice app! There are very detailed instructions there, but if you need help, just post here at Esato and I'll only be too glad to help.

You dont need a program to read .txt files!. just send them to your fone. they will be saved to your 'Others' foldeer. then select that file and choose send via mms. a message will open and the text can be read!

However, Bookreader has some functionalities which make reading e-books much more pleasant: Word search function, whole-page scrolling, auto-scroll, bookmarking, etc. These come in handy when reading large e-books.
