Ok, I know 3G is some advanced network mainly for phones with high media capabilities, well where in the us is it support and what's so much different about 3G?
Someone I know got a phone and it says 3G on it and I was thinking..."Isn't 3G not supported much in the us?"

3g is just the conmon name of the 3rd generation mobile comm system provides high speed data service. Different technics are available. Cingular(AT&T WS) is on the way to wcdma in the us. Sprint and Verizon should be going to cdma2000.
