> P900 Auto Shutdown
Bookmark topic
Hi Does anyone know of any software available (preferably free!) that allows the P900 to switch off automatically at a specified time. My last phone (Siemes SL45) had this feature which I found really useful. Since I know I'm not going to get calls after 1am (hopefully!) it would be good if the phone would just shutdown hence conserving battery life.
Cheers for any help

I let my P900 on all night and day because I have not noticed a real need to turn it off for battery conservation. Believe me when I say that, on average, a night's sleep (7-8 hours) will not consume more than 3-4% of battery power.

Unless you are away from home, why dont you just stick it in its cradle. The P900 needs its sleep too!
Either that or plug in the charger so the battery is fresh for the next day.

Take a look at Magic Profiles. You find an esato thread here:

You cannot switch the phone completely OFF, but it can go to "Flight mode" - and the phone uses almost no power in this mode compared to "Normal" mode.
I have it swith to "Flight mode" at 23:00, and back to "Normal" at 06:00, so all alarms work.

Thanks for the suggestions. Although MagicProfiles looks good I would prefer something that switches the phone off completely since its always good to clear out the memory. I assume it can be done because the Backup software that comes with the phone manages to switch the phone off completely as well as turn it on!

It can only be turned off via the cradle, not using software on the phone itself.
