Hi guys, I was playing around with the demo of k700i on se site here
http://www.sonyericsson.com/trythephone/k700/en/ to see if there is anything missing from my menus, and when I went into file manager -> sounds -> more -> manage files -> I had two options, copy to ext. mem, move to ext. mem, which I don't have on my phone, altough it's unbranded. What do you say about this?

well this has been on for quite a while and nothing really ground braking considering that s700 will have the same menus and therefore this function will be possible....

I don't know about the ext memory option, but there has been rumours regarding the K700i and a Memory Stick Duo slot. I checked here:
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/pro[....]nt_id=422363&native_or_pdf=pdf (the FCC's website) where pictures of some prototype K700i's are shown and I can't see any memory slot...

Should we ask SE on this one?

well look, this are the new menus for all new sony ericsson non-symbian phones, including z1010, s700, k700 all have the same os and gi but have some minor changes, anf it's logical that se will present a phone with similar features as k700 but with a ms duo, plus z101 and s700 also have a ms duo slot so this function is already possible on those two, they have just erased it from the k700 menu because it doesn't need it....

it would have been more logical to have a memory expansion slot on the k700i. They would have definitely killed the market with that one. People are still buying nokia-s just for that single reason.

I think they copy a part from the Z1010 demo, thats the reason of the external memory.
