> K700i replacing scratched screen cover
Bookmark topic
Purchased a new face of the screen for my K700i.
Just wondering how I installl it.
Is it installed from the front by plying the original out from the speaker hole?
Or is it installed by removing the whole casing via those fragile looking clips around the battery?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I didn't know you could just replace the plastic screen cover. I replaced the whole case, much easier, and those flimsy clips if treated properly ain't so flimsy!

They sure look flimsy which kind of scared me.
What did you use to undo those clips from the casing?
thanks.

also aren't there any more clips other than the ones under the battery cover?
I've undone the ones under the battery cover but the casing is still attached at the top and bottom...

worked it all out thanks.
Even though you can just take the screen part out of the cover its glued pretty tightly in.
So for anyone interested in replacing a scratched screen cover, buy the whole case.
Amazing how hard you have to pull at the cover to take it off. By the way it is very strong.
All parts for the K700i can be purchased at

bottom ones you must poke something down each of the holes on either side of the bottom and push it out quite hard.
The top one all i found was pulling the case off which luckily did not break the cover. not sure of any other way to do it.

Does taking the cover off void the warranty (are stickers broken, e.g.)? Would really like to open it up to put a filter on the keypad LED and get rid of this pink thing once and for all.
