Hi, I have read on these forums that the playnow link (which was missing from my unbranded £299.99 phone) is simply a link.
If that is the case can a user that has this feature let us all know what the link is?

It's simply a link, true. It takes you to a site with popular songs. Clicking a sound downloads a demo sound file about 300kb that automatically plays when downloaded. After the file is played a window pops up asking if you want to buy the full song and states the price for it. If you click "Yes" the full tune is downloaded and your phone subscription is charged with the price of the song. If you click "no" the small demo tune is deleted from the phone and you return to the main sound site with all the songs.

There's unfortunately no way to reveal the adress. It wont even show up in the "history" option afterwards. Besides, PlayNow is a little bit more than just a link anyway since it offers different menus etc than a normal link does. The link wouldn't do you much good.

I think it's a good function even though it costs to download songs. Sometimes when I want to have new songs in my phone and I'm not at my computer it's neat to be able to download them quickly.
Note one thing though. The songs are undistributable; meaning they can't be transfered from the phone in any way. It means you can't get them to your computer and burn them on CD etc. They're simply "stuck" in your phone until you delete them. Weird since you paid for them and sometimes want to change songs in the phone completely. It all comes down to the fact that you can't backup them for future use in the phone.
