hi guys. i upgraded my K700i to R2L version here in Manila a week ago and here's what i have observed with regards to the missing frames issue. when i access my camera i have the following frames: double heart, extra, hiphop, hippie, monkey, superhero, tv star and wanted. are these also the frames you have on your phone? i seem to have more frames when my phone was still in R2A. i don't know if the upgrade to R2L took out a few other frames. anyway, every frame works fine except for the double heart. the double heart frame doesn't show after you take a picture.
there's also another frames feature when you edit pictures (go to more->use->edit->tool->add frame). the add frame is disabled if the picture you are editing is not 160 x 120 in size. i then tried to edit a 160 x 120 picture but when i select the add frames option the phone will display "no more files." i haven't accessed this add frames before when my K700i was still in R2A version so i don't know if there are frames in that option. i also did a couple of master resets on my phone since i got it so i'm not sure if they were deleted permanently. can you guys pls check your K700i if you also had a similar experience with the said frames. thanks.

On my K700i running R2L I've got 21 different frames under the camera function and 9 different frames when doing an editing as you mention. The frame Double Heart works fine.
You need a format and full reinstall of the software. A flash will not fix your problem.

My SE K700i now having the stock R2A . . . firmware has more frames than you just made mention in your upgradefone

. . . About the twin-hearts frame, I guess you'll be needing a 'twin-faced-pic' in order for it to materialise

Just kidding here mate

Maybe you just have to 'downgrade' your firmware back to the R2A . . . software again dude just in order to have those 'cpmplete' set of frames - again

As I have read in the past, the R2L . . . firmware is not a 'flawless' upgrade, yes, it can improve the battery life of your fone plus eliminate majoirty of the bugs, though I guess it has some downsides too, just like what happened when you lost some of your frames here pal . . .

@j4sp33d
I don't have the time to write down the names of all 21 plus 9 frames, sorry! My language pack is EU4 and software version R2L001.

thanks for the replies. i'll just wait for the next version to come out. i hope it gives me back my missing frames. i'm pretty much satisfied with the benefits i got when i upgraded to R2L. i've read in some posts that some R2L versions are incomplete or have corrupted files. some users report that their phones hang up when they access the frames feature in the camera. some even can't play the tennis game. so far i haven't experienced any of these reported bugs in the R2L version except for the missing frames which fortunately does not make my phone hang up or reset on its own.

thanks williamB! now i remeber that i had those frames you mentioned when my phone was still in R2A although some frames are just repeated in the picture editor. i'm beginning to like the frames feature in the camera mode. my friends enjoyed how they looked with the frames. any idea on how do i get back the missing frames?

i read your reply in my other post. btw what's the difference between format, full reinstall and flash? what service centers usually do when you request for an upgrade is flash right? do all service centers do a format and full reinstall? do they need to download a new R2L version for my language pack?
