Hi there, sorry if this has been mentioned before. I have a starnge bluetooth problem with my p900. I can get it to link with my pc and the double arrow shows it connected, I can sync and do all the normal things.
The problem is, when i disconnect, say i go to into the ktichen. I cannot reconnect with the pc. The only way i can do so is to log off my conputer and restart it. Then it "finds" the phone and automatically connects it again.
Any one had the same problem, any solutions?
Windows XP SP2 user.

Shitty microsoft, another poor and pathetic piece of software ( SP2 ).
BT + P900 works just fine with Macs :-> In fact I tried to pair up P900 and XP (SP1) together and it just wouldn't work.
Plug doggle into Mac ( without having to install drivers) and BT was running instantly. No buggering about, just worked.

Strange I’ve got SP2 and I don’t have that problem it works perfectly, do you use XP’s firewall I don’t I use Norton’s maybe that could be the problem I’m just guessing here

It works no problem, when I log into my computer. Just when I disconnect, like when i go out............ try not sit infront of the computer all day!, then come back, i have re-start my computer to get sync with my phone. Not a big problem but its a pain in the neck.
P.S SP 2is not that bad conpared to the BT software i was using before, at least this consistently works, apart from all the restarts.

Amen to that! As a Mac user who's perfectly happy with his P900, my heart goes out to all Windows users.
All the Bluetooth agony you have to go through!

@chewie169:
I believe you need to reconnect the phone from your PC.
To do this, open Properties on Phone Connection Link. Then de-select the two COM-ports associated with sync'ing your phone. Then select the incoming one of these ports, wait a few seconds, and then select the outgoing COM-port.
To find which COM-ports are associated with your phone, open "Bluetooth Devices" in Control Panel, select your phone, select the Tab about COM-ports, and make a note of which COM-port is outgoing, and which is incoming.
It is important that the incoming port is selected before the outgoing, because the outgoing will be telling the phone to "Phone Home", and the incoming port had better be listening when this happens...
Please tell if this works.
